Our traditional Fun Week has been prepared so that we enjoy it as we always do.  This year, the topic that was chosen was «Nature at school». Our teachers want to raise awareness about the environment in the students. Therefore, our Technology department has run a contest in 3rd year of ESO to help our Economy students in their cooperative, Cooperays. It is going to be a flower pot designing contest!

This is essentially the same process that companies go through when they design a product, the only thing we lack is testing. However, this is a simple product, so the only thing we would be testing is structural integrity and the testing will be done when the winner is chosen and the model is printed. The dimensions of the flower pot have to be limited due to the fact that they will be 3D printed, so they are 10cm tall by 10cm wide by 10cm deep at maximum.

After the process of development, students should tell their classmates why they should win. During their presentation in our English class, they should convey what the flower pot evokes and talk about the style or the colours. For this, students from 3rd year of ESO have practised some engagement structures. Also, they are going to show an infographic and slides to support their claim.

The best flower pot will be sold by 4th year of ESO students at the fair of school cooperatives.
